TransTach
TransTach is the name given to in-house analogue and digital analysis bureau offered by Transolva Ltd.
From its early beginnings, this service offers a range of specialist solutions for both analogue and digital analysis especially catering for mixed fleets.
This is ‘managed’ second-to-none service carried out by experts reporting on all tachograph faults and infringements using tachograph analysis software from one of the UK’s leaders in this field. The depth of analysis we provide is particularly important to accurately monitor drivers and includes a Graduated Fixed Penalty’s report and offers one which will indicate whether drivers are spending the required amount of time (which can be fixed), to carry out their mandatory first-use Daily walk-around checks. We can also provide, at extra cost if not already included, missing mileage or odometer discrepancy reports. Should you unfortunately be called to a public enquiry, you would almost certainly be asked to produce these at the hearing for review by the Traffic Commissioner. We believe to have these for review on a monthly basis is important in ensuring your drivers (or agency drivers), are not ‘pulling their cards’ thereby leaving companies in jeopardy by simply not being aware.
The analysts used by TransTach are highly skilled and have many years’ experience making them true experts in particular with the complete analysis of analogue charts with no requirement for a member of your own staff to input centrefield entries as required by some companies. For any company operating with analogue vehicles, dealing with charts is generally a time-consuming task but a legal requirement to protect every company’s very valuable O licence and thereby ensuring it adheres to DVSA’s, requirements providing proof of compliance.
The TransTach analysis bureau solution caters for all fleet sizes. Those fleets who have traditionally posted analogue charts by recorded delivery can continue to do so but this option will cease from the end of December 2024.
Whether a company chooses the postal service or have previously purchased and use a specialist scanner, it can be sure that using TransTach will give you the peace of mind you need to ensure compliance is complete. Our service level agreements guarantee a quality of service, with one of the fastest industry turnarounds and the most comprehensive reporting suite. Using either option will see the benefits of this very fast turn-around service and can have reports posted or e-mailed as you prefer. Please be advised, the analysing of analogue charts will cease with effect from the end of December 2024.
Road Transport Directive (Working Time) reporting is seen as not being necessary or relevant to them by many companies but we can assure you this is not the case. So, by ensuring we are sent the details of holidays, sick days and any other work carried is important to ensure the reports are accurate and they are fully aware of the position. Be advised that many companies offer this service as being included but WITHOUT manual entries of the information above, these will not be accurate and thereby not a true reflection.
Examples of the more popular reports are available to view by clicking on the links below. As can be seen from these example, they are clear and concise yet highly informative thereby detailing the information necessary to ensure control.
The ‘managed’ service in addition assures complete over-the-phone technical support (when you need it), and a helpful and rapid response to any questions regarding the reports and the Drivers hour’s rules.
We are also now able to produce a report (at extra cost), to show a company where they ‘stand’ with regards to the DVSA’s, Earned Recognition programme. This report highlights areas where a company is not matching up to their requirements thereby potentially leaving companies exposed especially should they have a visit by a DVSA Traffic Examiner.
* These are the standard analysis reports taken from analogue charts and/or digital smart card information
** These are additional Road Transport Directive (Working Time) Reports which require additional information regarding holidays, sick or maternity/paternity days for which a form can be provided. Please note, these reports can only be completed in conjunction with the standard analysis reports.
For those companies requiring additional control, there are numerous other reports available which include Missing Mileage Reports, Smart Card Download Reports and individual Driver Reports. These, including the Lead-in or Daily Check Report, would normally be at extra cost, unless previously negotiated. In addition, if required, we can create bespoke reports to suit individual company requirements but this may incur an extra cost.
Lead-in or Daily Check Report – as the time parameters can be set, this report can be tailored to show once a digital smart card or chart has been inserted which drivers are failing to record the carrying-out of their Daily Walk Round Checks. In addition; it can determine how long drivers have remained stationary / in the yard before moving off.
